Hi there, Keegan! You have a super sweet friend, and being able to stay at her resort is a fantastic opportunity! I myself lucked into an off-property condo a few years ago while I was at a charity auction. Our stay was lovely and relaxing, but I had to really think about
transportation options- something I typically take for granted when I stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
To get to and from the Parks from your resort, using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft is going to be your best bet. I am a big proponent of the
Minnie Vans, and you can certainly use this service during your trip if you're park hopping, but they currently only transport Guests around Walt Disney World property (the exception is Guests traveling to or from the airport). One of the nice things about the Minnie Vans is that they come with car seats, whereas with other ride-sharing services you will have to request them. If you have younger kiddos, request an “Uber + Car Seat” in the Uber app.
Once you arrive at the Parks, you are more than welcome to use the complimentary transportation including buses, the Monorail, and boats to get to a Walt Disney Resort hotel for a dining reservation or for park hopping in the middle of the day.
Speaking of the Parks, if your upcoming trip happens to be this spring, check out the
2019 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. You'll see flowers all abloom in dazzling colors and topiaries of some beloved Disney characters- and don't miss the 17 Outdoor Kitchens with unique food and drink offerings!
Have a great time on your trip, Keegan!
