We will be staying at Orange Lake Resort from Friday May 3rd till Friday May 11th. What are the best days to visit the parks? Also we are traveling with a 12 month old a 6 week old and a 5 year old any tips are welcomed.

    Hi Rebecca,

    Your trip is so close!

I would head to the Walt Disney World Resort site and look at the park hours. Because you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you are not eligible for the Extra Magic Hours (EMH). These hours are reserved for guests staying at the resorts. Therefore, you should avoid visiting these parks on these days.

The other day which is busy is Monday for the Magic Kingdom. Traditionally, guests arrive on Sundays and they want to go straight to the Magic Kingdom. I would pick another day to visit.

Finally, go to Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios first. If you go to Magic Kingdom first, your children will not appreciate the magic of these other parks.

Also, you want to make some dining reservations or you will be eating counter service meals for the entire trip. Table service dining is limited and popular at all of the parks and it makes it tight to find a last minute reservation. Epcot is the only park which has multiple table service restaurants and it is not as difficult here. Remember to look at nearby resorts for a great meal.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
