Hi ! We are staying one night at BLT, then 5 nights at Coronado Springs in June. What is the best way to physically move from one hotel to another - including luggage? Thanks.

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for dropping by planDisney with a great question! How exciting to hEAR that you are doing a split stay and will get to enjoy two beautiful Walt Disney World Resort hotels!

The good news is that doing a split stay is quite manageable with Disney's Bell Services luggage transfer between resort hotels. When we have done split stays in the past, we simply pack up our bags, drop them off at Bell Services and ask them to transfer them to the new resort hotel. We then proceed with our regular plans for the day, so we typically visit a theme park, have lunch and then at some point that afternoon, we head to the new resort hotel. We usually get a text message alert when our room is ready.

Once at the new resort hotel, we stop by Bell Services to let them know we are there and can retrieve our luggage. And it is done! The move is quite easy since the luggage is handled for us. Just remember to allow for a few extra minutes on the morning of the transfer so that you have time to drop your luggage off with Bell Services. Also remember to do Online Check-in with the new resort hotel.

Since we typically spend the day at a theme park, we just use Resort Transportation to get to a theme park and then to get to the new resort hotel. So, for example, if you head to Magic Kingdom from Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, when it's time to check into Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, you can simply take the bus from Magic Kingdom. Since I usually travel with my laptop in the same backpack that I use for the theme parks, I bring an extra, smaller backpack that I can use on the day we switch resort hotels. This way, I can put my laptop in the bigger backpack to leave with Bell Services and still have the smaller backpack to take with me to the parks.

Mark, review the operational updates as it gets closer to the dates of your visit since policies and procedures could change. Also double-check with Bell Services to make sure the luggage transfer service is operating when you arrive. In the meantime, check out our Top 10 Packing Tips and get those suitcases ready. We are so excited to welcome you for an Incredible Disney visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
