Welcome to planDisney, Tiffany!
It sounds like you’ve got an amazing vacation coming up, and I’d love to help you make it even more magical!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is such a classic. Even though it’s been around since the 1970s, it still feels like a tropical escape straight out of “where the sky meets the sea.” And let’s not forget the real treasure, which is being just steps away from a DOLE Whip at the
Pineapple Lanai!
I stopped by the new
Island Tower after a recent dinner at
‘Ohana, and wow, it’s gorgeous. The Imagineers did an awesome job blending the Polynesian vibes with a more modern look. Think calming blues, sandy tans, and some beautiful nods to Moana in the artwork. The Terrace Gardens are a real standout. These four little tropical oases are perfect for soaking in the views: two face Magic Kingdom for prime
Happily Ever After Fireworks watching, and the other two offer amazing sunset views over the golf courses.
Now, about accessing the Terrace Gardens—it’s a bit exclusive. The tower elevators require MagicBand or Key Card access, and when I asked at the Disney Vacation Club desk, they said the gardens are
only for Guests staying in the tower. I know it’s a little like being told you can’t sail past the reef, but hey, it doesn’t hurt to ask when you’re there! I’m already dreaming about booking a stay here myself. It’s just too good to pass up!
But here’s the good news: you can still enjoy the vibes at the new
Wailulu Bar & Grill. No reservations are needed, as currently only walk-ins are being accepted. A few friends recently went and raved about the Ahi Tuna Crisps, plus they said the outdoor patio is a great spot to relax. If you time it right, you can even catch the Happily Ever After fireworks in the distance. It’s the perfect way to end a day in paradise!
I hope you have an incredible time, Tiffany! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help!
Aloha,
Eean
