We are staying at Old Key West the week of Sept 2oth, 2009 and I was wondering what type of ammenities are in the 2 bedroom Villas.. such as do I need to purchase laundry soap? and if so where do you suggest that I shop. Nine of us are going ages 2-53.

Hi, Robbi!  Thanks so much for your question!

You will find things in the villas such as a one load box of laundry soap, dishwasher soap for at least a few loads of dishes, all the plates and silverware that you should need, pots and pans, and one set up of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion - plus the hotel size bars of soap.

Some of the things you might need you can find in the shop right there at Old Key West.  For things like laundry soap - the powdered variety - I just put mine in a zip top bag and lay it flat in my suitcase, but you could also place an order with one of the grocery delivery services in the area.  I have used www.gardengrocer.com for not only things like laundry soap, but also for a complete grocery shopping trip.  It's nice to check in and know I don't have to worry about grocery shopping!

If you are coming by car, or using a private car service, there are plenty of shopping options.  When we do our own shopping, we got to the Super Walmart, just a few miles away from the Downtown Disney area.

It sounds like a great trip is shaping up!  I hope it's magical for all of you!
