If staying at Old Key West what road name are the elevator buildings sitting on? I would like to put in a request for one.

    Hi Melissa!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s always great to see Guests returning to ask more questions, and Disney’s Old Key West Resort is one of my favorites, so I love questions about this hidden gem!

There are three buildings at Disney’s Old Key West Resort that have elevators, building numbers 62, 63 and 64. They are along Miller’s Road. The Miller’s Road area is pretty long and there are quite a few other buildings there, so you may not get an elevator building with that request. I know that when you do online check-in those are the options you are given, so certainly do check Miller’s Road. If you are concerned about being on an upper floor, I would take my request an extra step or two. If online check-in gives you an option to request a first-floor room, I would check that box as well.

I would also call Disney Central Reservations if the room was booked through Disney, or Disney Vacation Club Member Services if it was booked with Vacation Points, and ask for a request to be added to your reservation. I would specifically note that you would like one of those buildings, or if it would work for you, a first floor room in another building. If you have a person in your party who has mobility issues and stairs will be an issue, I would add that information to the request. Room assignments are generally made 5-7 days before check-in, so be sure to make your request as soon as possible for the best chance at receiving your request. There are also some services out there that will fax a room request for you, a search in your favorite browser can help you find these services. Remember however, that a room request is simply that, a request, and while the Cast Member assigning your room will do their best, requests cannot be guaranteed. In my experience, I have received what I have requested about three-quarters of the time.

Sending you pixie dust for that perfect room assignment!
