If I am staying at old key west, can I use the resort transportation to visit wilderness lodge? Do the new rules on bus transportation stop the opportunity?

    Hi Robert!

    Welcome to planDisney!

One of my favorite things to do when visiting Disney World is checking out the other resorts, and I’m happy to report that you’ll still be more than welcome to visit other resorts during your stay! The new changes to transportation only affect those specifically traveling from Disney Springs to the resorts.

If you’re hoping to visit Wilderness Lodge, I’d recommend using bus transportation from Old Key West to Magic Kingdom. From there, you can hop on the boat or bus over to Wilderness Lodge.

If you want to double-check the directions during your trip, you can do so using your My Disney Experience app. Just click on the search icon at the bottom of the screen to search for your destination. Then click “Get Directions” and fill in your starting point under the “From” section.

If you’d like a more direct route, you could book a Minnie Van. But as a heads-up, that would be an extra cost, whereas the Disney transportation would be complimentary.

I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip, feel free to come back and visit us.
