Hi Christopher,
I am excited to hear about your upcoming stay at
Disney's Old Key West Resort. My favorite thing about this resort is that you can take the water taxi to Disney Springs for some of the best dining and shopping available at Disney World. We always spend a significant amount of time roaming around Disney Springs because there is so much to do and see there!
Standard theme park parking is included for registered guests staying a Disney Resort hotels! This is a nice perk that allows you to use your car to get around if you are in a rush or don't like taking bus transportation to and from Old Key West Resort. I absolutely love taking all forms of
Disney transportation because once you get on Disney property, you truly don't have to worry about anything.
Unfortunately, the only way you can park at Disney Resort hotel is if you are a guest at that resort or you have an advanced dining reservation for a restaurant located there. If you are parking for an advanced dining reservation, the expectation is that you will move your car when you finish your meal. If you really want to explore some of the other Disney Resort hotels, your best option is to take Disney transportation to a theme park or Disney Springs and then catch the available method of transport to your desired resort! Since you are a quick water taxi ride away from Disney Springs, the easiest option is to catch a bus from Disney Springs to wherever you want to explore.
Since you specifically mentioned
Bay Lake Tower, rest assured that you will not have to worry about multiple modes of transportation to get there from Old Key West Resort. Simply hop on the bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the walking path located on your right after you cross through security. This path will take you straight to
Disney's Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
