    We're staying at Old Key West on presidents week and are planning on their transportation. Having a 3yr old we're taking our stroller thinking this would be easier. How difficult would it be getting on&off as it doesn't fold like an "umbrella"?

    Beth,

    During the busier times of the year the buses do get very crowded. Having a stroller that can collapse is a real plus to keeping family sanity. But getting on and off their transportation will not be difficult. But once on the bus, you would be better off with a collapsible stroller, just so you don't take up so much room, and your child doesn't get bumped too much.

    That being said, we are not all made of money. Going out and buying another stroller might be out of the question. Either way, you really have to have that stroller with a 3-year old. Also know that a Walt Disney World vacation, especially during a busy time, can be pretty tough on a stroller. Here are my two suggestions;

    My first suggestion would be to go buy a super cheap umbrella stroller. I have seen several online (Disney character themed, no less!) for right at $20. You have an easy-to-transport stroller. If it gets beat up, your better one at home (that probably cost a lot more) doesn't get ruined. You can even leave it down in Orlando at the end of your trip if you don't want to pay for bag shipment home.

    Another side point here, you could order it from an online re-seller to be delivered to your resort, instead of your home. It can be waiting for you at your hotel, and you can avoid a possible baggage handling charge.

    My second suggestion is to just take your own stroller. When you get on the buses, you are just going to have to occupy a bit more real estate. You won't be the first to have done it, you won't be the only one doing it, and you won't be the last one to do it. Just know that there may be times where buses just won't have room for you, and you will have to wait for the next one. That is rare, but it can happen.

    Either way, you will want that stroller there with you.

    Write me back if I can help more!

    Have a magical vacation!
