we are staying at Old Key West, my daughter has coeliac disease (gluten free). Knowlots of places for dinner - but would like some breakfast places where we can eat using the quick service part of the dining plan - we want GF pancakes!

    Hi Charlotte!

We travel frequently to Walt Disney World with extended family, including my sister-in-law who has celiac disease. She has always enjoyed the culinary aspects of her trips with us, and we have found delicious gluten free dining for her throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

At Walt Disney World the most common offering is the iconic Mickey Mouse Waffle, rather than pancakes. Many places offer gluten free versions of this popular breakfast fare. Most table service breakfast locations both in the theme parks at at Disney Resorts offer gluten free waffles. This includes Olivia’s, located at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. The quick-service location at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Good’s Foods to Go, does not specifically have gluten free waffles on the menu. However, I would strongly suggest inquiring there as it may be possible since they are offered at Olivia’s. At all quick service locations you should inform the cast member on duty that you have a food allergy. They will then have someone come to speak with you about the options specific to your food allergy.

My expert recommendation however, is to eat breakfast in your room, and use your mornings to enjoy lower crowd levels in the parks. Then use your Disney Dining Plan credit for a meal later in the day. This maximizes time and value.

If breakfast is your thing however, gluten free waffles are usually an option at the following resorts’ quick service locations: Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. This can change however, at any time.

Wishing you many magical Mickey Mouse waffles!
