Hi Lorna,
Thanks for stoppin' by the the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I can do even better than the nearest grocery store. Did you know that Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests can pre-order groceries and have them waiting in their Villa when they arrive? It's true! Each DVC Resort has a unique order form that can be found on the
Disney Vacation Club Member Website under the Plan Vacations tab, the the Pre-Arrival Checklist section. Simply print out that form, check the items that you wish to have stocked in your fully appointed kitchen, and fax or email it to the number on the form at least 72-hours before arrival. Easy!
If you are not yet a Disney Vacation Club Member, you might consider taking advantage of the third-party grocery ordering service such as GardenGrocer.com or WeGoShop.com. These companies will handle all of the running around for you, and will deliver your goods to Bell Services where they will be stored appropriately on your check-in date. When you arrive, just notify Bell Services, and they will bring your bags right up for you!
I have also been known to place an Amazon.com Prime Pantry order and have that shipped to my Disney Vacation Club Resort. This is a great option for bulky items or things that cannot be packed for flight like cases of water, or aerosol sunscreen.
If you are sure that you would prefer to head to the grocery store yourself, I would recommend a visit to the Publix Supermarket located at 29 Blake Blvd, Celebration, Florida, 34747. It's about a 15-20 minute drive depending on traffic, and you should find everything you need there.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Sally
