Kathiane from NJ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi, we are staying at OKW. What is the best way to get to The Beach Club for dining reservations? Also, are the special events and extra-hours park admissions only for DVC members? Thank you =)

    Welcome Home, Kathiane,

It's so wonderful that you have popped by to chat with your planDisney pals as you prepare to head back to Walt Disney World Resort! It's an honor to help you make the most of every magical moment with your family.

Whenever I am traveling from one Walt Disney World Resort hotel to another, I tend to use a rideshare service like Minnie Van from Lyft. That way, I spend less time getting to my destination, and more time checking out the unique products in the Resort shops.

To use complimentary Walt Disney World Resort transportation from Disney's Old Key West Resort to Disney's Beach Club Resort, I would hop on a bus destined for Disney's Hollywood Studios. Then, you can decide if you would rather sail across Crescent Lake on a FriendShip, or if a 20-minute stroll from the gates to the restaurant is more your style. Along the way, check out the sounds of Disney's BoardWalk. We love to hear families playing in the pool at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and have been known to pop in for a quick game (and air conditioning!) at the Community Hall along the way.

Did you know, Kathiane, that you are also welcome to park at Disney's Beach Club Resort with an Advance Dining Reservation? It's true! If your car made the journey with you, you can simply let the friendly Cast Member at the gate know that you have reserved your seat to enjoy delicious crab legs at Cape May Cafe or perhaps the Kitchen Sink Sundae at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. They will waive you right through.

If you and your Guests are excited to experience Extended Evening theme park hours, please know that anyone staying at select Resort hotels (not just DVC Members) will be welcomed into the theme park. It's a wonderful and complimentary opportunity to check out exciting attractions with shorter wait times. Definitely try to check these out!

If you look to make the most of every theme park minute, consider attending Disney After Hours. While these specially ticketed events are open to all Guests, you can enjoy special pricing as a Disney Vacation Club Member. It looks like you could enjoy Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney H2O Glow After Hours during your upcoming vacation! Please know that these events can sell out, so be sure to purchase your tickets as soon as you decide!

I hope that was helpful, Kathiane! Please let us know if you have any other questions along the way. We can't wait to chat again soon.

    Adventure is out there,

    Sally
