We are staying off-site. We have not ever been to Disney and have no idea where to go or what to do regarding parking & getting to our planned park for the day. Realistically what should we expect as far as time to get there, park & get in? HELP pl

    Mindy,

It's hard for me to answer fully without knowing exactly where you will be staying. There are some off-site hotels which are a 5 minutes drive, and others could take 30 minutes. I'd rely on Mapquest to give me the time estimate from your hotel to the theme parks.

Once you're in the parking lot, however, I can provide a bit of insight. You'll typically park your vehicle, take a tram to the front of the parking lot, and then enter the park. At the Magic Kingdom, you'd need to take the tram to the front of the parking lot, and then ride a boat or monorail to the park. I would allow 30 minutes for that process. You might be able to do it in half that time depending on the crowd level and what time of year you are visiting, but I prefer to err on the side of caution.

Hope that will help you as a starting point!
