We are going to be staying offsite about 15 min.away. We will also be driving so we will be parking in the parks lot Is it worth it to go back to our hotel so the kids can nap and then come back? Will we have to pay again for parking?

    Hi Danielle,

You only have to pay for parking once per day at Walt Disney World. When you arrive in the morning and pay for your parking, ask the attendant for a receipt. If you decide to leave during the day, simply show the receipt when you return and you will not be charged again. You can do this at any of the theme parks. For example, if you pay for parking at the Magic Kingdom in the morning, you could go to Epcot in the afternoon, show them that morning's receipt, and not have to pay again.

As to whether it's worth leaving/returning from a time perspective, that depends on your family and their stamina. For my family, a mid-day break is very important. We need to recharge our batteries after about four or five hours of visiting the attractions. However, leaving WDW is not the only way to refresh. You might find it relaxing to book a leisurely lunch in an air-conditioned restaurant as a way to save time while relaxing.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
