Hi Katherine,
Welcome to planDisney. I hope your New Year is already off to a magical start, but it's sure to get even better with your upcoming visit just a few short weeks away. I've enjoyed
Kona Cafe on two separate occasions so you're in for a treat with the menu! The Rainbow Poke was some of the freshest I've ever had, and if you ever find yourself back for breakfast don't skip the Macadamia Nut Pancakes. I know the Tonga Toast usually gets top billing, but trust me on this one!
Complimentary standard self-parking is available to guests visiting the resorts for shopping, entertainment, and dining reservations. The last time I enjoyed a meal at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort we were not given a specific time limit as day guests. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and began our drive home within 90 minutes or so, which was plenty of time. Those pancakes kept us full for hours, by the way. However, I have heard instances of parking guards giving guests a pass indicating a 3-hour time limit. I'd plan to keep your meal and activity plans within that 3-hour window, but your best bet is to check with the parking guard when you arrive. Timing restrictions for day guests can vary based on the particular day or season, but I'm hopeful you'll be able to enjoy a delicious meal and the rest of your evening adventures as planned.
If your schedule goes according to plan, be sure to grab a delicious DOLE Whip from
Pineapple Lanai to enjoy while watching the fireworks.
Happily Ever After, my all-time favorite evening spectacular, is
currently scheduled for 8 p.m. during the week of your visit and would be even more magical when enjoyed on the beach with a delicious tropical treat in hand.
Katherine, I hope this was helpful. Please stop back and see us again with more planning questions.
Magic and memories,
Amy
