We are staying off site for two days at DW. Where is the best parking for MK? Epcot? We'd love to take the monorail or a boat but really want a quick route to the entrance. How long does it take to reach the parking lot once you exit on Epcot Dr?

    Hi Jennifer,

My husband and I were just talking about parking at the Walt Disney World Resorts the other day. While we rarely drive to the parks, there are some parks where it is easy to park and almost to your advantage.

Magic Kingdom takes longer to park than if you were using Disney's Transportation system. When you park at the Magic Kingdom, you need to take one of two ways from the parking lot to the Magic Kingdom. You can take the monorail or the large paddle boats to the Magic Kingdom. The quickest way is the monorail over the boat. However, the later in the day you arrive, the longer it takes to get to either one.

For Epcot, you simply park and then you are almost to the park entrance. You may need a tram to get to the park entrance and this is based on when you arrive.

As for how long it takes to arrive at the parks from Epcot Drive, it depends on the day and the entrance point. For Epcot, you are a few minutes from the exit to the lot. For Magic Kingdom, it is much longer as the parks are almost 15 minutes apart.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
