If you are staying off site and just have tickets for the day, can you still make reservations and dine at restaurants that are at different resorts, even if you are not staying there?

Hi Arika! That is a fantastic question when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I think I can answer it with some great news!

Yes, you are welcome to dine at any of the Disney Dining restaurants within the many resort hotels even if you are not a registered Guest of that hotel! For example, Chef Mickey’s is located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort hotel. You need not be a Guest of that hotel to enjoy dining at the restaurant!

A few years ago, my family was staying with my in-laws, who live outside of Orlando. We decided to make a reservation for the Grand Floridian Café which is located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. We drove over, parked at the hotel, and enjoyed a great dinner and shopping at the resort before returning to my in-laws. It was a perfect way to enjoy an evening!

Also, keep in mind that you may park at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel free of charge as long as you are there to enjoy the dining, shopping, entertainment, or recreation available at the resort!

Finally, Arika, while walk-up dining is possible at times, I strongly recommend making advanced dining reservations! You can make dining reservations up to 60 days prior to your desired dining date!

    Happy Planning!
