Aloha Russell!
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking about this fun Disney detail for your upcoming stay at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. I adore this special tropical hideaway at the
Walt Disney World Resort, with its lush grounds and welcoming culture.
Once upon a time, the “Twilight Feast” was an in-room dining offering at this resort where a spread of the many delightful dishes from
‘Ohana restaurant were delivered and served in your room for a fee. Unfortunately, this has not yet returned to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and there’s no word on when it may be offered. Currently,
private in-room dining is only available at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa since this service was halted in all resorts during the recent pandemic. I’m hopeful that this popular option will return to more locations, but please keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World Resort website for announcements of any expanded offerings for in-room dining.
Good news though, Russell – there are many options at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for takeaway meals that you can bring to your resort room. Can’t you just picture a beautiful evening on your balcony or lanai overlooking the resort grounds, tiki torches glowing, and the gentle sounds of the Seven Seas Lagoon and tropical melodies playing? Even if not delivered to you directly, this is an ideal setting for a taste of the South Pacific and a true vacation vibe.
Please see all the wonderful options I recently shared with another Guest inquiring about room service options at this stunning resort.I can relate to your craving for the
delicious tastes from ‘Ohana, a popular table service restaurant at this resort. Centrally located in the Great Ceremonial House, it’s been a family favorite for many years and seems to lure you in with the wafting scents of grilled meats and earthy, tropical spices. While it’s one of my favorite restaurants on property, I hadn’t been to dinner in a few visits and just enjoyed the full all-you-care-to-eat evening feast on a family trip last week. It’s as delicious as you remember, served with delightful hospitality that makes you feel like family. My favorite noodles, wings, and potstickers remain as flavorful as ever and the grand finale of pineapple-coconut bread pudding was an indulgent treat. If you’re seeking the Twilight Feast, I encourage you to try for a dining reservation at ‘Ohana during your stay for those familiar flavors in a warm setting with Cinderella Castle views and beautifully played live music for a special meal.
Please let us know what other Disney details we can help you with as you get ready for this special trip.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy
