We are staying at an off site hotel and will be visiting Chef Mickey's on the same day as our trip to the Magic Kingdom. Would we be able to take the monorail to the Contemporatry resort (with a base ticket), or will we have to drive? Thanks!

You are certainly welcome to use the monorail to get from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary. Any Disney visitor is welcome to use all the forms of transportation (bus, boat, monorail) to travel between the parks and resorts. You could also take a five minute walk from the MK to the Contemporary. It really doesn't make sense to drive because you'd have to take the monorail through the Contemporary to get to the Magic Kingdom parking lot.

Have a great time at Chef Mickey's!
