Hello! We are staying off site and have a dining reservation in Magic Kingdom for 8:00am. Where do we go at the front gates? I know many people line up for rope drop and we don't want to miss our dining reservation due to being too far back in line.

    Hi Lindsay, welcome to planDisney!

You are going to love the feeling of walking down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park as you head to an early morning breakfast.  It's a great time to take a picture in front of Cinderella Castle without too many people in the background.

To be sure you have enough time to arrive for your breakfast reservation without feeling rushed I would suggest arriving at the Magic Kingdom Park parking lot around 7:00 a.m. This should give you plenty of time to go through the security checkpoint and take the Walt Disney World monorail or ferryboat to the front entrance of Magic Kingdom Park.

Once there, look for Cast Members carrying tall signs indicating the entrance for Guests with early morning dining reservations, usually at the turnstiles on the left side.  There are plenty of Cast Members available that can help you find the correct entrance if you have any difficulty.

Lindsay, since you are visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays, I would like to let you know there are now two special event parties available to Guests.  Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be held in Magic Kingdom Park and Disney Jollywood Nights will be held at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  I expect both parties to be popular so be sure to get your tickets if you plan on attending.

    Have a magical holiday vacation!
