Hiya Leah,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your pool question. Can you believe that in less than a week you will be arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth? You will be trading those chilly Illinois days for sunshine, palm trees, and strolls down Main Street with
Cinderella Castle sparkling in the distance. That countdown always feels extra magical.
So, Leah, let’s jump right into your question. Unfortunately, the pool amenities at the
Art of Animation are reserved exclusively for Guests staying at that resort. If you are staying off property, you will not be able to use the pools there. Disney does enforce this policy to help ensure safety and comfort for all resort Guests, and pool areas require either a
MagicBand or a Key to the World card for entry.
While I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for, there are still plenty of splash-worthy ways to cool off during your visit. Over at
Magic Kingdom,
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a fun and refreshing way to beat the heat. If you are looking for maximum splash factor, sitting toward the front usually delivers. Nearby, you will also find
Casey Jr. Splash ’N’ Soak Station near
Dumbo and
The Barnstormer. This circus-themed splash area is perfect for younger Guests to cool off and play, though availability may vary during inclement weather and subject to availability.
Another spot I highly recommend visiting is
EPCOT, especially because you will be there during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. This festival is bursting with colorful art, creative food, and interactive experiences, making it one of my personal favorites. While exploring EPCOT, be sure to check out
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. This walkthrough attraction is a beautiful way to connect with water, just like Moana herself, and it even includes a splash pad area, which is perfect for cooling down on a warm day.
Leah, while this may not have been the exact answer you were hoping for, I hope it helps you see that there are still so many fun and refreshing ways to enjoy your time in the parks. If you have any additional questions as your trip approaches, please feel free to visit us again.
See you real soon,
Christina
