Hello, Mia!
Thanks for bringing your question our way. I'm sorry to hear you weren't able to secure your preferred
Lightning Lane Passes for your upcoming visit. Based on your arrival date of February 17, you were right on schedule to begin making your selections at 7 am EST on Saturday, February 14. I took a look at current availability and noticed that Lightning Lane Multi Pass was still available at all parks except EPCOT (at the time of my writing) between February 17 and February 19, but unfortunately, Lightning Lane Single Pass options were sold out across all parks for those dates. I did see availability for
Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park on February 20, depending on your length of admission.
Your visit falls right after the President's Day holiday, which can make for a busy time in the parks as families take advantage of the school break. This week is also the tail end of
EPCOT International Festival of Arts, a short but popular festival, which likely contributes to higher crowds at EPCOT.
As you've seen,
guests with eligible resort reservations do have an early advantage when it comes to purchasing, beginning 7 days before their check-in date, while off-site guests and those visiting with an Annual Pass are eligible 3 days before their ticket start date. Lightning Lane Single Pass is offered for the most in-demand attractions at each park, and as such, availability can go quickly (particularly at the busiest times of year). You can certainly still take advantage of Multi Pass for your visit, which will save time in the standby lines and include
complimentary digital downloads of select attraction photos on the date of your visit.
I walked another guest through the purchase process here, if you'd like to review step-by-step instructions.
My family most often opts for Multi Pass at Magic Kingdom Park, as it offers the most Lightning Lane attractions. We'll typically hop in the standby line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or TRON Lightcycle / Run just before closing to save on the purchase of Single Pass. Over at EPCOT, we usually secure a Single Pass ride on
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, but almost always hop back in the line toward the end of the night to ride again via standby. Please know that while Lightning Lane Passes can save you time in line, they are not mandatory for experiencing your favorite attractions. With some careful planning and prioritizing, we can usually ride all our top choices without making any additional purchases.
Mia, if you'd like some itinerary suggestions or tips for maximizing your time in the parks, please feel free to come back and let us know. I'm wishing you a magical visit!
Magic and memories,
Amy
