Staying off property and eating breakfast at Contemporary then going to Magic Kingdom. Where can we park? We have two infants and need the least amount of parking hassles and close to resort with grandmoms bad knee. Thanks, June

    Hi June,

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'd be happy to help you figure out where to park and how to easily get around the Walt Disney World Resort.

To start with breakfast at Disney's Contemporary Resort before an amazing day at Magic Kingdom Park, you have two options for parking. First, since you'll be dining there, you are entitled to a few hours of complimentary parking at the Resort hotel. While you won't be able to leave your vehicle there all day, you may park there first and then drive to Magic Kingdom Park after breakfast and leave your vehicle there for the day. Or, you may simply begin your day by parking in the parking lot for Magic Kingdom Park, which is located at the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, you may simply hop on the iconic monorail, and if you're careful to take the Resort Monorail and not the Express one, you may ride that directly to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Did you know that the monorail actually takes you inside the Resort hotel! It's pretty cool!

If you decide to only park once and take the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort, you will be within walking distance of Magic Kingdom Park. However, with some concerns about too much walking, I'd recommend riding the monorail to get there after your breakfast.

I hope this helps, June, and that you and your family have a truly magical vacation!
