Hiya Do Yung,
Welcome back to planDisney! Can you believe you are “Almost There” to the start of your vacation?! There are so many iconic snacks at Walt Disney World Resort, from DOLE Whip and Churro Waffles to Mickey Premium Bars and School Bread. Nothing beats a Disney snack, and I’ve learned in recent weeks that the Mickey Shaped Beignet over at
Port Orleans – French Quarter is one such iconic snack!
Speaking of which, Do Yung, the policy at Walt Disney World Resort is that resort hotel parking lots are reserved for overnight Guests and those with confirmed dining reservations for that specific resort hotel. So in this case, as a Guest staying off property, you would likely not be allowed to park at Port Orleans – French Quarter just to purchase a beignet at
Scat Cat Club - Café or
Lounge. You are welcome to inquire with the Cast Member assisting with parking at Port Orleans, but they will likely redirect you to exit the parking lot. Now about the second part of your question, Boatwright’s Dining Hall. Guests with confirmed dining reservations at
Boatwright’s Dining Hall may park at
Port Orleans – Riverside for up to 3 hours while they enjoy their meal. In my experience, this timing typically allowed me to enjoy my Taste of the Bayou All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Platter and then walk along the Sassagoula River to Port Orleans-French Quarter. However, please remember to keep an eye on the time so you do not exceed the parking limit.
I hope this was helpful, Do Yung. If a beignet is what you are craving, I do also want to recommend one of my favorites,
Golden Oak Outpost at Magic Kingdom. I know they aren’t Mickey-shaped, but they are still really good, and I find myself heading there every time I visit Magic Kingdom! If there is anything else you need, please follow that evening star back to us here at planDisney!
Happy Planning, Chere,
Ashley F.
