We are staying off property. On the days where the extra magic hours are 8pm to 11pm will we be asked to leave right at 8pm? How does that work?

    Hi Brittany!
Extra Magic Hours are a perk offered to guests who are staying at Walt Disney World resort hotels.  Although there is no "EMH security" per se, there are Cast Member who do check guest ID's during EMH. They will ask you to leave if you cannot prove that you are a WDW resort guest, but they will not escort you to the exits.  If on your way to the turnstile, you would be able to window shop and check out the stores open on Main Street for an extended period of time, however if you were thinking about being able to experience an attraction, that would be a big no.  Cast Members check for resort ID's at the entrance of each attraction slated to remain open for EMH, and they are diligent about it.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
