Hi Brian,
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is our go-to resort at Disney World. It is absolutely beautiful and a relaxing oasis in the middle of all the magic. You should make sure to stop by
Territory Lounge for a quick bite or a drink in the evening. The small bites and drinks are fabulous and go well with the rustic vibe in this lounge as well.
When you book a Disney Resort Hotel, you are
considered a guest for the entirety of your check-in day and your check-out day at whatever level you booked. For check-out day you should be able to enjoy all the benefits of your club-level access until midnight. Since you are staying at the same resort, you may want to check with the front desk that day to ensure that your access won't get switched over mid-day when your new reservation check-in kicks in. The cast members at the front desk of this resort are always super helpful and will give you the tips needed to navigate this transition!
Old Faithful Club Level is one of my favorite concierge lounges as it offers a beautiful view of the Wilderness Lodge lobby and has some really good food and drink options. I would prioritize breakfast, hors d’oeuvres service, and evening drinks with dessert as this is where this lounge shines. You should receive information on the current hours of the club when you check-in. Make sure you pay attention to the hours that they will be serving because the last time I visited, they were not serving food or drinks outside of those hours. You could still sit in the lounge but there were no perks outside of the listed service hours.
While you are at this resort, I suggest spending a day relaxing by the pool and exploring the grounds. There is so much to do and see here that you won't want to miss. My favorite hang-out here is the Carolwood Pacific Railroad Room located in the Boulder Ridge Villas building. It is packed with model train memorabilia and some fun history.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
