We are staying at a non-WDW resort but it says it is near Downtown Disney. Do we have to pay to go into Downtown Disney and the boardwalk? I'm not clear if they are within one of the theme parks or not.

Neither Downtown Disney nor the Boardwalk are inside the theme parks. There is no ticket or fee required to visit either of these shopping, dining, and entertainment areas. Downtown Disney is bustling from about 9:00 a.m. until well into the evening, while the Boardwalk really only gets hopping once the sun goes down.

    Have fun exploring!
