We are staying at a non-Disney hotel the nights prior to and following our 2nd Disney cruise out of Port Canaveral. Will DCL provide transportation to and from our hotel or is it only Disney properties that it will provide transport to/from?

Welcome aboard, Randi! Since you've sailed with Disney Cruise Line before, you know how magical a cruise with Captain Mickey can be! But, from lots of experience, I can tell you that no two sailings with Disney are the same, so you've got even more special moments in store!

Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers for an additional cost of $35 per person each way. These are available between the resorts at Walt Disney World and Port Canaveral, as well as between the Orlando International Airport and Port Canaveral. If your hotel is close to the airport, your best bet is to make your way back to the airport and take the ground transfers to Port Canaveral from there. Some hotels near the port area in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral offer their own transportation to the port, so you may find that your hotel offers that already if you're staying in those areas.

Otherwise, booking your own private transportation or renting a car to drive to Port Canaveral will be the way to go. However, if you are at all able to use Disney Cruise Line's transfers, by switching hotels or making your way to the airport, I promise you won't regret it. Letting Disney take care of the details makes your transition from land to sea and back again as seamless and easy as possible. Your kids will enjoy watching classic Disney cartoons onboard the motorcoach and the whole family will delight in the Disney Cruise Line video on the way to the port. You'll be thrilled watching it, knowing you're about to board the ship yourself! Plus, they handle your luggage and all the in's and out's of arrival and departure. It doesn't get easier that that!

I hope those details help as you continue planning your vacation. Let me know if you have other questions before you sail. I'm happy to help!
