Hi we are staying 1 night ASM followed by 7 nights OKW we would like to check out 8am and go straight to OKW to check in what would be the easiest way to do this can we go straight from resort to resort or will we have to go via one of the parks Thankyou

    Hi Joanne!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There are no buses directly from one resort to another at Walt Disney World. When using the Disney bus system, you must always change buses at a theme park or Downtown Disney. I have a few options though, for your situation.

Since I see you are coming from the United Kingdom, I wanted to be sure you knew that the Magic Bands you receive at your Disney’s All Star Resort will work for your entire length of stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort as well. You are free to use that first Magic Band in the parks and it will even open your room door at Disney’s Old Key West, in case that was why you wanted to check-in so early. You can also use Disney’s convenient Online Check-In service 60 days prior to your arrival to speed up the process once you arrive at your resort.

Did you know that Disney will transport your belongings for you from one resort to another? When you check-out of your Disney’s All Star Resort, simply take your belongings to Bell Services and request for them to be transferred to Disney’s Old Key West Resort. Do be aware that resort transfers of luggage take place in the late morning to late afternoon. If there are any items you will need for the day, you should keep them with you.

If you wish to move your items yourself, the best method is to hire a cab. Disney’s complimentary bus system is not designed for luggage, and you may be prevented from bringing suitcases on board. Plus it would mean transferring buses with your luggage at a theme park. A cab would be the easiest and fastest method. Cab fare is generally in the $15- $30 range between most resort locations. I hope this information helps with your planning Joanne. Please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help you with!
