Aloha, Ann, and welcome to planDisney where we "lei" on the Disney tips! You'll be arriving this week for an adventure where the sky meets the sea, so let's look at how you can secure some provisions for your magical journey.
I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who said
grocery delivery from the store of your choice is available at the Island Tower at
Disney's Polynesian Village & Bungalows; however, it works a little differently than other resorts.
Typically, drivers can't access the gate at the tower and will be directed to the Great Ceremonial House at the resort's main lobby.
Bell Services will store any items that need to be refrigerated, but keep in mind that you'll need to be on hand to accept delivery for anything that needs an ID, such as alcohol or tobacco.
From there, you have a couple of options. You can pick up your delivery from Bell Services yourself and take it back to your room. Or you can ask the main Bell Services to deliver it to the tower's Bell Services location, where they can store it until you arrive. The tower location also offers refrigeration, so if you're enjoying a day at the theme parks, you can pick up your order when you arrive "home."
Please remember there is a fee to have your groceries transferred from one Bell Services location to another. The same fee would apply if you opt to have your items brought directly to your room, but you'll need to be present to accept them. Currently, this fee is $6, but prices and procedures are subject to change.
If you have any questions about how the service works at this resort, please call the
Non-Reservation Support line. The Cast Members will be happy to walk you through the process.
My husband and I ordered breakfast items and snacks for a recent stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The process was easy, and we enjoyed having yummy fruit and protein bars waiting for us after a full day of riding attractions. My tip is to order items to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches; that's been my go-to breakfast for decades!
Ann, I hope your visit is as thrilling as a Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride! Please stop by
planDisney again. Mahalo!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
