I will be staying at the AS Movies 12/19-12/27 and I am worried about bus transportation to the parks. I would like to be in line an hour before the EMH starts but I can't find if the buses run that early, and I was told that walking would not be possible.

    Hi Amanda,

How wonderful you're visiting WDW at Christmastime, the parks and resorts are so gorgeous at that time of year. Be sure to watch the Castle lighting up ceremony at the Magic Kingdom and visit the Grand Floridian to see the giant Gingerbread House!

The Disney buses tend to start running 2 hours prior to the official park opening time, so this is about 1 hour before extra magic hours start. This is the same for every Disney resort so if you aim to be at your bus stop to catch the first bus (normally 7am) then you will be amongst the first guests to arrive at the park and be at the front of the queue. One great tip is to not just line up behind other people but to check all the turnstiles, if they have a green arrow on then start a new queue :-)

You're right that walking is not an option, WDW is a huge place and you are unable to walk to any of the parks from All-Star Movies.

    Have a great trip,

    Jo
