We are staying at Movies and are thinking of upgrading to a Moderate resort, which one would you recommed, Kind of think PO Riverside, husband, 16yr old and me. We have always stayed at a value. At riverside is it worth the preferred rooms ?Nancy

    Hi Jeff,

If you can afford it I definitely recommend you upgrade to a moderate, some of the perks are bigger rooms and slides in the main swimming pools. Out of all the moderates Port Orleans Riverside is my favourite, my family and I have stayed there several times and really enjoyed our stays. The grounds are really lush, it has lots of swimming pools, the food court sells delicious food, including my daughters favourite make your own salad bar, and the boat trip to Downtown Disney is lovely and relaxing.

We have stayed in both standard and water view roms and to be honest it really doesn't matter which you get. As the rooms at POR don't have personal balconies the only advantage to a water view room is that you tend to be closer to the main buildings.

I love a website called www.portorleans.org it has some great information on the resort and beautiful photos.

Hope that helps and you have a wonderful stay at POR,

    Jo
