    Staying at AS Movies for 6 nights starting on Oct 9 with 2 boys 8 &4. Wondering 1. is a coffee pot in the room? 2. towels at pools 3. is Disney extra busy on Columbus day and 4. is it worth the extra $ for a preferred room?

    Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel to ask some questions! I'll be glad to help you out!

    All Star Movies does not feature coffee pots in their rooms, unfortunately. Coffee can be purchased at the food court however.

    Towels are not available at the pools for the All Star Resorts. Instead, feel free to bring the towels from your room to the pool. If you need additional towels, they can be requested from housekeeping - just let them know!

    Any time that schools are out of session, Walt Disney World will see an increase in vacationers, but since this is usually a very short holiday (a single day), Columbus Day will not typically see a very large increase. Personally, I think October is one of the best times to visit the resort. Crowds are lower and the weather is (usually) great!

    Our family does not usually choose to book a preferred room. The only time we normally consider booking one is if its extra important to be much closer to the main building for food or bus stops. Otherwise, we are perfectly happy with a standard room!
