We are staying at the Movies resort..wondering if we are better off driving to the parks, or using Disney transportation. Also, we are going to the Hoop-dee-doo 8:30 show one night, and I am wondering if we will be able to get transport back to our hotel?

Hi, Nicole!  Using Walt Disney World transportation is very convenient most of the time, and my family and I have been using it way more often as our girls get older.

I will say, when I was lugging a stroller, diaper bag, and other kid related accessories, I loved having my car.  I felt like I could come and go as I pleased, especially if someone was tired and crabby, and if I stayed until closing time at the parks, I avoided the lines that can form of people waiting for buses.

If you plan to stay until closing, or if you have a super early reservation, you may want to use your car just for the sake of convenience.  Other than that, the resort transportation is great.

As far as the Hoop Dee Doo goes, you will take transportation from Fort Wilderness to one of the theme parks (probably one with late extra magic hours) or to Downtown Disney.  From there, you'll take transportation to your resort.

    I hope this helps!
