Aloha, Kellie, and welcome to planDisney! You are staying at my dream resort, so smell the tropical flowers and eat some
Tonga Toast for me!
Coffee questions aren't in the least silly! We java fans know the importance of having that morning jolt to get us going. Let's look at the coffee situation at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
Looking at the online photos under the
"Room Rates" tab, it appears most standard rooms will include a Keurig single-serve coffee maker, along with several varieties of coffee and tea. My room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge had Joffrey's decaf coffee last week, and you can ask for additional K-Cup pods anytime. Sugar, creamer, and other coffee supplies are provided, too.
I double-checked by chatting with a friendly Cast Member who said coffee machine styles can vary by building and are constantly being updated. He said that some rooms will have a Cusinart machine with filter pods provided, both regular and decaf.
I wish I could tell you exactly what will be waiting, but refurbishments and updates are ongoing at most Disney Resort Hotels. We all know how much Walt Disney loved progress!
One tip is to wait until you're in your room to see what type of pixie-dusted coffee machine you'll have. If it's not the pot of your dreams, you can call
Housekeeping Service to ask if another type is available for you to use during your stay. While there's no guarantee, they'll do their best to accommodate your coffee needs.
You can also place a grocery order with your favorite chain once you know what type of coffee supplies you'll need. Bell Services will even accept your delivery and hold it until you're ready. You can check out the details near the bottom of the
Mail Services page.
Kellie, I hope I've given you some options to prepare for the best cuppa joe ever! I'm lifting my Mickey mug to toast your visit. Stop by
planDisney anytime; we never just "lei" around!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
