we are staying at the little mermaid standard rooms in October. I read the best rooms with lake views, quiet and shortest walk to main building is building 7 nearest the lion king area. Is this correct ? Are we still near the pool?

    Greetings Nancy!

You are going to love staying in one of The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms during your Walt Disney World vacation! I have personally stayed in one of The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms myself and loved the whimsical decor and immersive storybook experience! I actually stayed in Building 8, which is the most distant to Animation Hall. The answer to both of your questions is yes! According to the Art of Animation Resort Map, Building 7 would be the closest building to Animation Hall and The Big Blue Pool in The Little Mermaid section that also faces Hourglass Lake. The rooms in Building 7 that are located closest to The Lion King area will also be closer to Animation Hall. Rest assured, all of the buildings in The Little Mermaid section are centrally located to the Flippin' Fins Pool. Please keep in mind that some of The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms will also face the courtyard, pool or parking area depending on the specific building location. Disney does accept room requests, but they are not guaranteed. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back if you have any additional vacation planning questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Nancy!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
