We’re staying at the JW Marriott, Bonnet Creek and the rest of the family will be at Fort Wilderness. What is my best way to get from the hotel to the Fort?

    Hi Renee! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! Only a couple of more sleeps until you arrive for a magical Walt Disney World vacation. I love visiting during this time of year with the holiday season in full bloom across many of the parks and resorts. There is always an extra little hint of magic in the air!

You've picked some great places to stay during your trip! The JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort and Spa is a beautiful resort located close to many areas of Walt Disney World. You're a short distance from EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, along with a host of Disney Resorts hotels.

The easiest way to get from your hotel to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is by taking a ride-share service. You'll be dropped off at the resort entrance and you can use the internal shuttle to get you to the area of the resort where your family is staying. Since this does come with a cost, a complimentary alternative is to take the shuttle provided by the JW Marriott to the Magic Kingdom. You'll be dropped off at the Ticket and Transportation Center and can take the ferry boat or monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Once you arrive, you can hop on the water taxi to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to arrive at your final destination. While there are a few steps involved in this method, each one comes with its own level of fun. My daughters love it when we are able to cruise around Walt Disney World on a boat. It's basically an attraction on its own!

One of my favorite offerings at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is the Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. This nightly event is wildly entertaining and gives you a chance to interact with two of the best Disney characters. Roasting marshmallows, making s’mores, and singing along with them is the perfect way to spend an evening with your family!

Renee, I hope you have an amazing vacation! Stop back and see us again at planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
