Hi Anaheta!
Welcome to
planDisney! I was so excited to see your question because as a fellow runner, I am always looking to get in my long runs while at the most magical place on earth! I have a few suggestions for you!
There are several
jogging trails that you can use while visiting
Walt Disney World. Since you are staying at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you may want to check out the 1-mile jogging trail (each way) that connects Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa with
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You can take in magical views of Cinderella Castle, Disney's Wedding Pavillion, and Seven Seas Lagoon. What I usually do is run on the jogging trail and then head over to Disney's Grand Floridian Way, which is the road directly in front of the resort. Keep an eye out for cars of course, but you can run along this road out and back. I also connect the jogging trail with my own out and back treks, such as heading down to Narcoosee's, Disney's Grand Floridian Convention Center, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
There are also longer jogging trails throughout the Walt Disney World Resorts. My favorite place to run is
Disney's Boardwalk area. You can run around Crescent Lake and take in the beautiful views of the water, nearby shops, and restaurants. It is a one-mile loop, but it's easy to run it repeatedly.
Another option is to run on the treadmill at the Grand Floridian health club. The fitness center is absolutely gorgeous and is stocked with water, clean towels, and entertainment. Afterward, I encourage you to get a massage at
The Grand Floridian Spa, which is re-opening this month! You can book your appointment online now.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about running at Walt Disney World!
Magically,
Stacy
