We are staying at Grand Floridian for 4 nights and then heading off to Tampa for a couple of days before returning to Disney to spend 7 nights at BLT. Would it be possible to leave some of our bags at either of these hotels to save us taking them with us?

    Hi Gillie!

I am quite jealous of your lovely long vacation. It sounds like you have some great plans, and you have picked two beautiful resorts to stay at. One of the things I love about Walt Disney World Resort hotels is that each one has its own benefits and little touches that make it special. I had my first stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa this past December and absolutely loved the quiet elegance. Did you know, it is the only Walt Disney World Resort that provides nightly turn down service to every room? And Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is considered to be one of the very best locations as not only do you have access to the Monorail, but Magic Kingdom is only steps away!

I spoke with the front desk at Disney’s Contemporary Resort about your situation. Since you will have an upcoming reservation, they would happily store some of your luggage for you while you went to Tampa. Since you are checking out of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, they would not be able to store your luggage there, so you would need to move your belongings to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The Cast Member I spoke to said that since they will be storing the items for several days, they would like the guest to be present when they take your belongings so they can verify your upcoming reservation information.

I hope this helps to make your vacation planning easier. I have always felt that Disney goes out of their way to make our trips as convenient as possible. It seems they think of everything! I’m glad this option will work out for you. Please let me know if you have any additional questions as you plan your upcoming summer vacation!

    Have a Disney Day!
