We will be staying at the Grand Floridian beginning on Jun 8. Our daughter takes a medicine that needs to be refrigerated. Are there refrigerators in the rooms there?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christine. How exciting to be planning your upcoming stay in one of the most elegant resorts in all of Walt Disney World! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is so luxurious, with beautiful Victorian touches found throughout the resort and in such an amazing location, providing you with extraordinary views of Magic Kingdom Park, including views of the nighttime fireworks spectacular Happily Ever After. It is also home to the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, where you can meet some of your favorite characters such as Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and Tiger, while dining on the delicious buffet options. It is one of my family’s favorite Character Breakfasts.

I, too, have traveled with refrigerated medication and have found that most hotels and resorts are very accommodating, sometimes holding my medication in a refrigerator in the kitchen, though nothing beats the convenience of an in-room refrigerator. Among all of the other great amenities, such as a coffee maker, an iron and ironing board, in-room safe, soaker tub, and hairdryer, the rooms in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa all include a mini refrigerator, making it easier to travel with refrigerated medication. While most of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels have in-room refrigerators available in the rooms, if you ever find yourself booking a stay in a resort that does not feature an in-room refrigerator, you may make the request upon arrival to have one placed in your room.

I hope that you have an absolutely magical stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and a wonderful time in Walt Disney World! Please stop back by if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
