staying at g.floridian in dec with 2&4 yr old boys, we booked with a pin code and there were no them park view rooms left:( what r the chances a theme park view will become avail for us to upgrade, is it true we may be upgraded for free? if no rec buil

    Patti,

There is a small chance that a room with a theme park view will open up, but I'd say it is just that - a small chance. Theme park views are in high demand. Your travel dates in December will make a difference. If you are visiting early in the month, for example, you'll have a better chance of finding availability than you will over Christmas, which is a very busy time to visit Disney.

As for a free upgrade - it's possible. They have been known to happen from time to time, but again, I would say that is a very small chance. Because so many guests are willing to pay a premium for the theme park view, those rooms are often completely booked as you've seen, and unavailable for anyone. When an unexpected upgrade like that comes your way it's definitely a little bit of pixie dust, but hey - you're already having wonderful vacation in the most magical place on earth!

Trust me - you will love the Grand Floridian, no matter what your view. I know we do. :)
