When staying at Fort Wilderness will they hold your perishable grocery items for you if your campsite/rental RV is not set up and ready yet for you to check in. I would like to get our groceries before we arrive at the campground instead of doing delivery

    Howdy Partner,

Welcome back to the planDisney Roundup, Deborah. We’re thrilled to see you again and happy to help answer your question. Let me first begin by complementing your resort selection. My husband and I are currently trying to plan for a visit, staying in one of the Wilderness
Cabins. We joke that it’s the best of both worlds for us. He gets to enjoy that outdoorsy feel, while I get to vacation at my favorite place, Walt Disney World Resort.

Bell Services are truly magical and the perfect partner to your family's Roundup. If your room isn’t ready, they will gladly hold on to your luggage and even store your groceries until your room is ready. My family is so on-the-go that we usually just opt for a grocery delivery, but they will happily store yours until your family is settled in.

My fellow panelist, Nimmy, also added a great tip! She recommended ordering your groceries from the resort itself using the grocery order form. The resort will then handle the purchasing, storage, and delivery. Otherwise, Bell Services will hold onto your perishables until you are ready to collect them and take them back to your campsite.

Deborah, I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask here. Or if you have any reservation-specific questions, feel free to give the Walt Disney World Resort a call. You could even ask to see if you can request an earlier check-in so that you can bypass Bell Services altogether. Keep in mind the request isn’t a guarantee, but it doesn’t hurt to ask, especially if you are planning on arriving earlier in the day before check-in time.

Have a great visit, and please remember, you have a friend in me!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
