Hi Monty, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Fort Wilderness is my favorite place to stay for spooky season because all of the decorated campsites make it feel like you’re right in the middle of Halloween Town!
Fort Wilderness usually runs an official Camp-Or-Treat event on Halloween evening, where guests decorate their campsites and give out candy to trick-or-treaters. While there isn’t typically an official event in September, you’ll still find lots of Halloween decorations and some campsites giving out treats! In my experience, this happens throughout September and October, even on
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights. So bring your decorations, candy, and trick-or-treat bags for a spooktacular time!
My family loves driving around all of the campsite loops in our golf cart to look at everyone’s Halloween decorations. If you
rent a golf cart, don’t forget to bring decorations for your cart. Not only is it extra festive, but it’ll help you find your cart in the parking areas. Another fun way to explore the campground is by booking a
horse-drawn carriage ride!
Speaking of horses, be sure to stop by
Tri-Circle-D Ranch's stable near the Settlement Area. The Headless Horseman’s horse from the
Boo-To-You Halloween Parade lives there!
I hope you have the spookiest time at Fort Wilderness this month! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome at planDisney.
