We are staying at Fort Wilderness Campground next year. We will rent a golf cart. Are we able to park our vehicle in the resort parking lot so we don’t have to have it on our campsite? Can we use golf cart to get to and from the parking lot?

    Hi Deborah,

Welcome back to planDisney! Is there anything like a Disney Pal? I think not. That's why I am so glad that you have come back to join us. We are so grateful for YOU.

I already love your vacation plan! I can't get enough of the vacation vibes that start the moment you park your car at Walt Disney World Resort. The complimentary and convenient transportation around the property means that we don't have to think about driving, directions, or parking until it's time to make the journey home. I totally understand why you are visualizing that moment!

Each campsite at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort offers a space to park your vehicle, but any additional cars (or even your primary ride, if that's what you decide) are welcome to park in the main parking lot in the Outpost area. Immediately next to the parking lot is the Golf Cart Rental location, so you can pick up your ride upon parking and head on back "Home" for the start of your unforgettable vacation.

Deborah, have you checked out some of the ways that you can enjoy the great outdoors during your stay? You have so many options just a golf cart ride away! You can channel your inner Merida and try out archery, rent a canoe to explore Bay Lake, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage or wagon ride with your family and friends, meet the ponies of Walt Disney World Resort, and so much more! Then, once you have worked up quite an appetite, dine while enjoying some "Frontier style family fun" at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review!

I hope that was helpful, Deborah! Please come back and visit planDisney with any other questions. You know where to find us!

    Adventure is out there,

    Sally
