We are staying in Fort Wilderness campground. Can we have a camp fire and if so are there fire rings to use or do we need to bring our own! Thank you.

    Hi Laurie!

Staying at any of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels is a great way to add a little extra magic to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and staying at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort allows you to experience the magic while simultaneously being able to appreciate the beauty of the great outdoors!

Although there are no fire rings available, and open campfires are not allowed, there are some campfire pits that you can bring with you to use during your stay!  Allowed campfire pits must have a solid metal top with metal (usually metal mesh) sides and must be designed in a way that prevents any exposed flame.  They also must prevent any embers or sparks from being released.  Because of this, traditional fire rings would not be allowed.

That being said, if you want to experience a traditional campfire while staying at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, make sure you check out Chip 'N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long!  There, you will be able to roast marshmallows over the fire while enjoying some quality time with Chip 'n' Dale!  You can even enjoy campfires at other Walt Disney World Resort Hotels if you happen to be visiting one for an awesome dinner or other recreational activity like Movies Under the Stars!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
