We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins and have the "Counter Service" Meal Plan (2 adults and 2 kids) For a change of pace, is the Wilderness Lodge (Roaring Fork) walkable ? At night also?

    Hi Randy,

There is a walking/bike path between Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge, but I wouldn't really say that it's walkable, particularly at night. The distance is nearly a mile and it is not lit in the evenings. I'd consider it to be more of an exercise trail.

However, there is great boat service from Fort Wilderness to the Wilderness Lodge and to the Contemporary. The boat takes about 10 minutes and is quite relaxing. You could use this to grab dinner at either of these resorts.

    Happy eating!
