I am staying with my family at the Movies Resort next 4th of July and we are wanting to get from our resort to the Boardwalk, my mother will be using a scooter, could you please tell me the best way to get there? Thank you 364 days !!!

    Hi Kelly,

Woo hoo!  The Walt Disney World vacation countdown is on!

In order to get from Disney's All-Star Movies Resort to Disney's BoardWalk, I'd suggest taking the complimentary bus transportation from your hotel to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  From there, you can take one of the Friendship Boats from the boat launch to the right of the park gates.  The boat ride is leisurely and gives a nice view from the waterway of the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotels, Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts and Disney's BoardWalk, all of which are stops along the way to Epcot.  There is also a walking path from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Disney's BoardWalk if you'd rather take that route.  I'd allow yourself at least 90 minutes to make the trip - about an hour for actual transportation time, plus some extra to allow for time you may be waiting for the bus and boat to arrive to pick you up.

I think you'll really enjoy Disney's BoardWalk.  There are some great restaurants, shops and entertainment options, all within a short walking distance.

Thanks so much for visiting us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelly!  Please write back if we can help answer any other questions as you make your plans this year.
