Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Clyde!
You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney! How exciting that you will be making a splash at Disney's Vero Beach Resort soon. I love this peaceful beachfront property because you get to enjoy the magic of sand and sea along with the magic of Disney. It's the best of both worlds!
Clyde, Disney's Vero Beach is about an hour and a half drive from Orlando. It is one of the
"Disney Beach Resorts." To be considered an onsite Guest while visiting Walt Disney World, you would need to be staying at one of the
Walt Disney World-owned and operated hotels, and the Disney Beach Resorts are considered separate. You can certainly visit Walt Disney World as a day Guest, but you would not be able to access any of the onsite Guest benefits, such as early theme park entry or the complimentary Water Park access on check-in day in 2025 (one of the benefits exclusive to Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests.)
What we have done, Clyde, is a split stay, where we spend a few days enjoying all of the magic of Walt Disney World and staying on property. Then, we travel to
Disney's Vero Beach Resort for a few days, enjoying some surf and sand. It's a great way to enjoy full days at the park and spend a few days recovering and relaxing, all while being immersed in the Disney experience.
I hope this helps you, Clyde! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, soar back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Magically Yours,
Keri
