Hello Yasmin!
Welcome to planDisney! My family always prefers to stay at a
Disney Resort Collection Hotel. There is something about staying within the magic for our entire trip that truly helps me to relax and escape the real world. I love that I don’t need to deal with traffic or parking, and I typically don’t even watch the news when we are at Disney. We also love the extra perks like being able to book our dining reservations earlier, complimentary transportation throughout the resort, and
early entry to the theme parks.Currently, there are no
Special Offers on theme park tickets, but from time to time, Disney does offer these kinds of package deals. Last summer, for example, Guests of Disney Resort Collection Hotels were able to purchase a 6-Day theme park ticket for the 4-Day ticket price. These offers come and go and typically are not available during the busy
holiday season. If you are looking to visit during the holidays, things are
very tightly booked at this point. There are three different pools of Disney Park Pass Reservations available. There is a pool for Annual Passholders, Guests of Disney Resort Collection Hotels, and regular ticket holders. Right now, most days have very limited availability. Be sure you are checking the
Theme Park Availability Calendar for Guests of Resort Collection Hotels to see the correct availability. Unfortunately, with the holidays just a few weeks away, not everyone will be able to find the reservation they want. Even if you are a Guest of a Disney Resort, if the park is showing as booked, it is booked.
One option would be to consider adding the
Park Hopper Option to your tickets. You could then book a park that was available on the day you wish to visit. Typically Epcot is the last park to fully book. You would then visit that park in the morning, and after 2 PM you could hop to one of the other theme parks even though the reservations currently show as full. While park hopping can be paused on any day due to capacity, to date, that has only occurred once, on the 50th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom back in October. I do think park hopping may reach capacity on New Year’s Eve at Magic Kingdom, but hopefully, it would be available on other days. That said, hopping is never guaranteed.
If you only have a resort room booked and would like to reschedule to a less busy time of year, giving you more time to plan your visit, room-only reservations can be canceled for a full refund up to 5 days before check-in.
I hope this helps to answer your question, Yasmin. Whenever you decide to travel, I hope you have a magical visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort!- Kate
