Whitney from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi there! We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel and want to do 1 or probably more character breakfasts. Do the main characters like Mickey & Minnie frequent all character breakfast venues? For example, will Mickey be at Goofy’s kitchen? other tips?

Oh, Boy! Welcome to planDisney, Whitney, and thanks for this delectable question about two of my favorite topics: food and Mickey Mouse! You'll be arriving at Disneyland Resort in a few weeks, so I'm sure you're excited to meet the Main Mouse and have a yummy meal. Let's see how you can have your Mickey Waffles and eat them, too.

I recently had a magical breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen and still dream about the Peanut Butter and Jelly Breakfast Pizza. You have to trust me on this, Whitney! I eat plant-based, and my panelist pal Tiffanie gave me a tip to let the chef know my preferences at buffets like this one. All I can say about the plant-based omelet he made for me is, "GAWRSH!" It was amazing. While in breakfast heaven, I met Minnie Mouse, Chip 'n' Dale, and Chef Goofy himself. Remember, character appearances are subject to change because, like us, they're busy! So you never know who you'll meet, and that's part of the magic.

Goofy's Kitchen will be convenient since you're staying at Disneyland Hotel, but you have other breakfast options with characters. Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park is at the Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park. This buffet features Minnie Mouse...and Minnie waffles! She is often joined by an array of friends, and I recently heard Daisy Duck stopped by, along with some characters from the Hundred-Acre Woods. It was a Tiggerific time!

If you want to explore Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you can have a hearty breakfast at Storytellers Cafe with Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet. Again, characters can change, but you'll typically meet Mickey, Minnie, Chip 'n' Dale, and Pluto. That's quite the classic lineup! If your party is into the royal treatment, this resort also hosts Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose restaurant. You might meet Mulan or share a story with Belle at this three-course breakfast experience.

Whitney, I'd suggest you make your dining reservations for any of these experiences as soon as your 60-day booking window opens. Everyone loves breakfast AND characters, so these will fill up quickly. I'm sending pixie dust and maple syrup so that you will secure some reservations for your upcoming visit.

Thanks again for stopping by, Whitney, and head on back to planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
